Deadwood and Crawford South Dakota

A creek full of dead trees wasn’t enough to keep frontiersman for long. But when there was a discovery of gold in Two Bit Creek and French Creek around 1874, the rush was on! The Black Hills were crawling with prospectors which drew more than miners. My third and fourth books of the “Promise” series carry the reader to Deadwood and Crawford, among other places. Of course, I always have themes built into any story I write. (Jealousy, Revenge, Fortitude, Survival, and Love.) Look for my books from Roan & Weatherford in the coming year. In the meantime,  I recommend reading Chris Enss books; An Open Secret: The Story of Deadwood’s Most Notorious Bordellos. And a must read… The Widowed Ones…beyond the battle of the Bighorn. (My personal favorite.)  Chris Enss is a terrific writer and researcher. So, drag up a chair and step back into history.
